If I had to use a single word to describe Animal Medical Center, it would be "nightmare." We took our puppy here to get her spayed because it was more affordable. This turned out to be a big mistake. The procedure seemed to have gone well, but after a couple days of feeling that the suture didn't look right, we took her back in. The stitches had come undone and they took her back and put in about 10 staples instead. We came back a week later to get them out and, after waiting an hour for the vet, he actually asked me to help hold my dog down while he took out the staples. When he couldn't get them out, he eventually took her back to get help. He finally came back with the staples out and told me that my puppy was good to go. It wasn't until I was on my way home and my puppy was laying down on the seat that I noticed her incision looked like it was still open!! I went back to Animal Medical where they seemed to be in no rush to help me out. When we finally got back into a room, I could hear the vets bad mouthing my puppy through the door. "I can try to fix it but that puppy is insane"...etc. Finally a vet came in (one I had never seen before) and looked at my puppy. He said that it appeared that the incision was not open but had essentially healed "crooked" giving it an appearance of being open. He said she "should be fine", just leave the cone on another week and come back if it opens up. I let him know that we would certainly never be coming back and that I would be sharing this story here to educate any potential customers.
