SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis

This place doesn’t even deserve a one star. I thought our local hospital was a joke, but this ER trumped that! They did not do the proper testing for my father (heart patient) and the nurse is the one who gave him his ekg/lab results. I have a special place in my heart for nurses, but they shouldn’t be giving those readings especially since the EMT’s that called my father’s primary doctor en route to the ER said theirs came back abnormal. In the 5+ hours he was in the ER he never once seen a doctor so he voluntarily signed the release forms. When we arrived (we live 4+ hours away) his blood samples and urine sample were still sitting on the counter in the room. Not to mention the nurse working was rude and acted as if answering our questions was an inconvenience to her. Avoid this place if you can!

AVOID IF POSSIBLE: I know for a lot of the rural area residents, St. Louis is a far drive to get to a Hospital and/or Emergency Room, but the care at SSM St. Joseph West in Lake St. Louis, MO, is awful and I would never recommend going there to ANYONE. I've given this hospital multiple chances, hoping it was just that particular time, day, or that particular care giver. However, every single time I have gone there, I have had terrible experiences. The last visit was for my 7 month old son and I was disgusted. It was the last straw for me. I will drive to Mercy from now on. Or anywhere else for that matter. I don't normally write reviews but I feel the public needs to be informed on what to expect here. Especially regarding healthcare and emergency services for your children!
