Simple Moves

I only gave 1 star because the post would not accept no stars. Before you consider using Simple Moves, considering offering to buy your uncles, cousins and/or brothers dinner and rent a U Haul. This was the worst experience moving! I had used this company 4 years prior and could not have asked for better service. However, something drastic has happened in a matter of 4 short years. Three Simple Moves employees arrived to my home around 9 am. One of the employees reeked of marijuana and proceeded to ask for a speaker to blast his profanity laced music to help "motivate" him to work (his words). 90% of my furniture is Restoration Hardware, if you are unfamiliar with the store, please google it. Very mid-century modern pieces made of solid wood and metals that should last you a lifetime, if you so choose to keep your furniture that long. I was quoted 7 - 8 hours based on all the items that I listed and the size of the home that I moved from, it took them 10 hours and luckily I borrowed a pick up truck because this 10 hours included 3 loads worth of stuff that I personally loaded and moved myself in this pick up truck. We got the first load on the truck, arrived at my newly renovated home to unload. My doors were scratched, hardwood floors scratched, 4 of my 5 bed frames were from Restoration Hardware and 3 of the 4 bed frames were Belgian linen upholstered fabric. Every single bed frame and the sectional had dirty hand prints everywhere on the fabric. The beds were not fully put back together, missing screws (which they apparently took with them) and 2 of the 5 bed frames were broken into 2 pieces. In addition to scratched doors, scratched floors, filthy fabric, 2 broken beds and marijuana influenced workers, I had two tv stands broken during this move (one of which was from Restoration Hardware). I had to take an additional day off to have a Simple Moves provided floor/furniture repairmen come to my home, as well as Woodard to clean the furniture only to be told the floors are unrepairable. I have sent the owner a very detailed email and left him a voicemail, to no avail. I still have 2 broken beds, scratched doors and floors and cannot get a simple returned phone call. My attorney is in the process of drafting a lawsuit. Please do not waste your time with this company, not only is the quality of their work piss poor their customer service is something far worse.

We used Simple Moves to move a Washer and dryer as well as a loveseat. Everything went smoothly. Carlos W. and Cornell H. were great to work with. Very careful and friendly. Thank you.
