Stray Rescue no longer seems to be interested in their namesake, which is quite a shame, as I used to be a monthly contributor and even received one of our dogs from them. Randy is great, but his employees are greatly lacking in what it takes to uphold his good name and maintain the level of compassion and customer service that is expected from a 501c3 with a name like Stray Rescue. They turned away a puppy with 3 paws. THREE paws. He was a beautiful dog, otherwise, young, playful, friendly...I do not take animals to the Humane Society because of their kill rates...I thought he'd be a perfect candidate for SR. We didn't even make it all the way inside the door. They checked him for a chip on the bench outside and suggested Animal Control - who, by the way, also refused to take him because they were "totally full". So, thankfully, Stray Paws came through and found this awesome guy a foster home until he gets a permanent one...That's better than a pen at SR any day.
Wonderful organization that truly cares for the well being of each dog. They strive to find the perfect match for each pet and owner.
