This is very alarming!
I suspect the racist claims are not all the President's fault ... but it IS his fault that the issue
has been so long neglected or given such a low priority. Even now his response seems to be that they will study the matter and render a report in April; weak! insensitive!
Great that the players, other students and Coach Pinkel have pressed for action.
Given the circumstance, the President should resign ASAP; the Board should appoint an Interim
and authorize aggressive plan of action.
While I am a big football supporter, I think cancelling game(S) would be appropriate if the administration does not launch an aggressive plan of remediation!
