I absolutely love State Farm and convinced my fiancé to switch from his insurance (he had been with them for 11 years and had only ever spoken to one person at that office for those years, which he loved. But we reassured him that he would always have a person at State Farm on point too.). The person we signed up under quit, we had no idea until we called with a question. So then our next go to person "will be out of the office off and on all summer." What the heck! And then after being convinced to sign up for what was supposed to be a cheap life insurance policy (10-15/month) the price changes not once, but three times. It went from 15 to 25 to 40. Then they called saying the paperwork had been done wrong and it was now back to 25 but the bill never changed! I requested that we cancel the policy, they claim to have sent the paperwork twice but I only received it once which I promptly filled out and sent back the next day after receiving it. A few weeks later I get a notice in the mail that I will be charged $40 AGAIN for the life insurance this month. Beyond frustrating. We no longer have a person to talk to, and they act like we are inconveniencing them (the other employees, not Wil). Wil has been very nice every time but I'm probably going to have to switch agents. This is ridiculous. It took a lot for my fiancé to switch and now he has a bad taste in his mouth with State Farm. I'm so frustrated. Especially because I know how great State Farm can be - I've had them before and my family has exclusively used State Farm for 30+ years. All we wanted was a go to person, accurately completed paperwork, and timely completion of said paperwork. But when we asked who our go to person would be they told us "you can talk to anyone" even after expressing that we would like to deal with just one person, I understand that but we don't want to keep getting bounced around, we want to know and trust the person we talk to when dealing with our insurance. And as for the other two must haves on our insurance agent list, paperwork is clearly not being completed accurately or in a timely manner. I'm a pretty laid back person but there has been a serious lack of communication of any kind and what seems to be blatant disrespect for my money. I don't have $40 to throw away every month just because someone doesn't want to complete and submit some paperwork.
UPDATE
After posting this, Wil reached out to me directly to discuss the issues we had been having. Since then we haven't had a single issue and actually LOVE having her as our agent. We wouldn't switch to anyone or to any other company. She's so friendly and she really cares about her people. I love it. At this point, I honestly can't recommend her enough.
