I had booked a car a week in advance, was told I could pay with a debit card if I passed a credit check. My credit is flawless, but I got denied. The lady told me to refer to Equifax, and said there was nothing else she could do and brushed me off. I had my trip delayed several hours because of this, and with the same information and cost, got a rental somewhere else.
