I went to Dr. Opdahl for over 2 years and the experience was worse every time I went there and they charge 30% over the standard billing because they are supposed to be so caring. I was left in the dental chair twice mid-procedure so long that my anesthesia wore off while I listened to his visiting with an old high school chum outside the room about his hunting dogs and vacation, then he came in and finished my root canal without giving me more anesthesia. The second time he left me in the room so long it wore off because he was working on another patient and I watched him helping them out to their car. The receptionist was very rude to me when I had to reschedule an appointment. The dental hygienist practically called me a liar when I told her I had already had a procedure done that she wanted to schedule me for and laughed at me when I told her I did not want epinepheren in my anesthesia and I had to force her to look at my records. I was there for 30 minutes once while they looked for a misplaced piece of equipment before one procedure and had to be re-numbed because of it. Most places get the tools ready before you get there and I am pretty sure they might have a spare if it is a crucial piece for the process. The final straw was when they wanted to schedule me for extra cleanings because "I had money on my insurance that I really needed to use!" Words straight from the hygienist mouth! They had obviously checked my benefits before coming in to treat me. They clearly are the worst most money driven place I have ever encountered!
