Have never had a nightmare such as this company! I am a single mother of two who recently purchased a 2005 explorer from a car lot not even amonth later as I was still on temp tags my truck was stuck in 4wd, abs and traction light were all on. I had it towed to action automotive as that is what the tow truck driver recommended. I later received a call that my entire transmission was shot and would need to be replaced which was great as I was still under warranty for all power train parts. I instruction for Steve Green to contact the warranty company and open a claim prior to doing any work and he claimed he has done this before. Three weeks later I was finally told that it would be completed tuesday, then changed to wed, fri, mon and finally on tuesday told it would be ready to go that evening. I called steve when I got off work and he told me it was finished then he told me he would not returnt he car until warrenty coimpany paid. When I called warranty company in the morning the told me a claim had never been opened by the shop and since the work is completed they will not cover it, As a single parent 1800 is not just laying around my house! I FREAKED!! Steve then contacted the warranty company and stated he had only completed half the work on the transfer case....transfer case?? He told me it was the entire transmission! He also informed me my wheel bearing was busted and needed to be replaced, I told him not to touch it and he went on and on about how its not safe to drive. I informed him i wanted him to work on nothing but what i brought the car to him for and i would have someone else fix the bearing as it was just inspected and had front tire rods replaced i doubted the bearing being broke. I was finally able to pick my car up on friday after paying 350 for it and instructed him to show me the busted wheel bearing. STeve then informed me that its no longer broke and that he had replaced the bearing for free. Absolute BS!! HE tried getting paid for a new transmission and that didnt work out so he figured he would add more to the list, clearly under estimating me as one of these nieve females. My daddy taught me better then that! Not only is this a scam shop but never once in three weeks did I ever receive a single phone call or returned call from steve! Please do not go here and never let anyone you know go here!!!
